I take the time to understand your concerns, explain your options clearly, and deliver care that is tailored to you, with the goal of achieving the best possible outcome in a way that feels supportive and reassuring."Dr Hannah Timlin
Dr Timlin has more than 20 years of medical and surgical experience. After graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Edinburgh, she completed a full programme of specialist ophthalmic training across leading hospitals in Edinburgh and London. This was followed by three years of advanced sub-specialist fellowship training in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal, and Orbital Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, covering the full scope of aesthetic and functional eyelid surgery, tear duct surgery, and orbital conditions.
She is one of a small number of UK consultants whose training spans all three of these subspecialist areas, giving her a breadth of expertise that is rare in the field.
She now holds an NHS consultant post at Moorfields Eye Hospital as an Adnexal (eyelid and tear duct) Consultant, combining her private practice with continued work in the NHS.
Dr Timlin's clinical and research contributions have been recognised with awards from three of the most respected bodies in ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery.
Dr Timlin is an Honorary Lecturer at University College London (UCL) Institute of Ophthalmology, where she serves as Module Lead for Adnexal Surgery within the UCL Ophthalmology MSc programme. She is also a tutor on the University of Edinburgh's Ophthalmology MSc.
She is passionate about training the next generation of surgeons and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests focus on lacrimal surgery and eyelid cancer management.
